Contact request notifications

Get an email the moment a visitor leaves their details, sent to whoever you choose.

Contact requests show up in your dashboard, but you don't have to keep it open. Kisnip can email you the moment a visitor sends one, so you can follow up right away.

Turn on contact-request notifications and add who should be emailed.
  1. 1

    Turn on contact notifications

Open the Notifications tab in your dashboard and switch on contact notifications. They're off by default, so nothing is sent until you turn them on.

  2. 2

    Choose who gets notified

Add one or more email addresses to the contact recipients list. Everyone on it gets the same email, so you can include a colleague or a shared inbox. Remove an address any time to stop sending to it.

  3. 3

    What's in each email

As soon as someone sends a request, you get an email with their name, email, phone and message, plus a link that opens the request in your dashboard. The visitor also gets an automatic confirmation in their own language.

Contact notifications are separate from conversation notifications and booking notifications, each with its own switch and recipients. Emails start once your account email is verified.

Common questions

Is this the same as conversation notifications?

No. Contact notifications have their own switch and recipients list, so you can send contact alerts and conversation summaries to different people, or turn on just one of them.

Does the visitor get an email too?

Yes, and it's automatic. The visitor gets a short confirmation in their own language the moment they send a request. Your notification is the separate copy sent to you.

Why aren't the emails arriving?

Check that contact notifications are on, that the address is on the contact recipients list, and that your account email is verified. It's also worth checking spam. You can always see every request in the dashboard under Contact requests.
